About the event
An Evening with Trudie Strobel: A Story of Survival, Art, and Healing
At 88 years old, Trudie is piecing together the complex tapestry of her life—a journey marked by unimaginable loss, remarkable resilience, and the healing power of art. As a child, stitching helped save Trudie from the horrors of Nazi persecution. Decades later, after years of suppressing painful memories, stitching would help save her again, offering a path through depression and toward healing. Through the participation of schoolchildren from across America, anti-hate activists, and members of the creative community, this film explores how one woman's story continues to inspire new generations to confront hatred, embrace compassion, and recognize the power of creativity to heal. Be among the first to experience this intimate work-in-progress screening.
